Pest Control in Cocoa Beach
Cocoa Beach sits between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Banana River to the west, and that geography drives everything about pest pressure here. Rats come from both sides. Roof rats and tree rats nest in the lush tropical vegetation, fruit trees, and palms throughout the island. Norway rats live in the mangroves along the Banana River. Residents deal with pressure from both populations simultaneously, the same pattern that makes barrier island living beautiful and pest-challenging at the same time.
Cocoa Beach has also been changing in the way it grows. There are essentially no vacant lots left for new construction. When someone wants to build new, they tear down what is there and start over, or they do a significant addition or renovation on an existing structure. That kind of work can open up wall voids, expose old construction gaps, and create new entry points that pests find quickly. It is one of the reasons I see more varied and sometimes more complex pest situations in Cocoa Beach than in newer planned communities where every home was built the same way at the same time.
I have been serving Cocoa Beach for over 20 years as an owner-operated, veteran-owned business. You get me at every visit, a direct line to my cell, and guaranteed results with no long-term contracts.

What the Service Includes
Every quarterly visit starts with cobweb removal and wasp nest clearing from eaves, entryways, and pool enclosures. The exterior perimeter is treated around the foundation, windows, doors, sidewalks, and driveway edges. Trees, shrubs, and plants are inspected and treated for scale and aphid activity that draws ants in. Granular ant bait is applied to active trails and nesting areas. Interior treatment is included at the initial service and annually after that, or any time interior activity warrants it during a scheduled visit.
Once per year, attic dusting with Delta Dust at no additional charge.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY
Comprehensive Pest Control Services For Cocoa Beach

Rats in Cocoa Beach
Rat pressure on Cocoa Beach is as high as anywhere in Brevard County. The beach dunes and tropical vegetation on the ocean side harbor roof rats and tree rats in large numbers. They nest in palm tree crowns, dense coastal vegetation, and fruit trees throughout the island. On the river side, the mangroves along the Banana River are prime Norway rat territory.
The result is a residential community with significant rat populations on both sides, and any gap in the exterior of a home will not stay empty for long. After a renovation, an addition, or any construction work that temporarily opens up the exterior, rats can establish themselves quickly before the work is finished and everything is sealed back up.
Outdoor rodent bait stations can be added to your regular pest control service for as low as $15 per visit. I rotate bait types regularly to prevent bait aversion and refill stations at every visit to maintain consistent pressure on the surrounding population. Rodent exclusion is also available to seal the entry points rats are using to access the structure.
Carpenter Ants in Cocoa Beach
Carpenter ants are more of a consistent problem in Cocoa Beach than in most other communities I serve, and the lush tropical vegetation throughout the island is the main reason. Dense plantings, mature palms, overgrown lots, and the moist coastal conditions create abundant nesting habitat for carpenter ants close to structures. They nest in palm tree crowns, in moist or decaying wood anywhere on the property, and in the wall voids of homes that have had additions or renovations that left gaps in the structure.
If you are seeing large black ants inside your home, especially at night and especially in the kitchen or coming down from the ceiling, carpenter ants are a likely culprit. I treat the vegetation and trees around the home as part of the standard service because that is almost always where the colony is actually based. For significant infestations I also offer a dedicated carpenter ant treatment that includes attic dusting with Delta Dust, which is particularly effective for the Smoky Brown cockroaches and carpenter ants that nest above the living space.

Termites in Cocoa Beach
Termites are active throughout Cocoa Beach, and a few things specific to the island make them worth paying particular attention to.
Riverfront homes along the Banana River face elevated subterranean termite pressure from the moisture conditions near the water. You might expect that oceanfront homes right on the Atlantic would be less attractive to termites given the salt air, but termite colonies establish themselves in beachfront homes regularly. Salt air does not deter them.
Homes that have had additions built over the years are particularly vulnerable. Additions often involve cutting into existing structure, which can disrupt existing treatment barriers and create new junction points between old and new construction that subterranean termites can exploit. If your home has had work done over the years or you are planning a renovation, a termite inspection before construction starts is a smart investment.
I offer complete subterranean and drywood termite control with instant online pricing, a yearly booster treatment included in every warranty renewal, and a $1,000,000 repair guarantee. See the [Termite Control page] for full details or ask about combining pest control and termite service when you book.
Mosquitoes Near the River
Homes closer to the Banana River side of Cocoa Beach can experience significant mosquito pressure, particularly during the warmer months when breeding conditions in the surrounding mangroves and wetland areas are at their peak. Standard spray programs knock populations back temporarily but do not address the breeding cycle.
I offer the In2Care mosquito system as an add-on to the standard pest control service. Rather than spraying or fogging, In2Care works with mosquito behavior. The system uses a specially designed station that attracts egg-laying female mosquitoes. When a female uses the station her eggs will never hatch. She is also dosed with a biological agent that she then carries to every other small water source on your property as she continues to breed, treating puddles, plant saucers, gutters, and any other standing water herself. The result is a dramatic reduction in mosquito population without spraying your yard, and it is particularly effective for riverfront and river-adjacent properties where mosquito pressure is consistent.

Free Attic Dusting Once a Year
Every customer receives attic dusting with Delta Dust once per year at no additional charge. No other pest control company in Cocoa Beach includes this as part of a standard service.
The attic is one of the primary routes insects use to enter the living space. On a barrier island with pest pressure coming from both sides year-round, treating the attic is an essential part of complete protection. I use a specialized modified blower to distribute Delta Dust throughout the entire attic space, covering every corner, every eave, and every void using air currents that carry the dust into areas no person could physically reach. Delta Dust is the world’s only 100% waterproof insecticidal dust and keeps working in Florida’s humid coastal conditions for up to eight months after a single application.
Included in your annual service at no extra charge.
